This is my family, and before we share our tour of Europe I want to introduce ourselves. I am the humble guide Jonathon, along with my wife Angelina, daughters, Kye and Aerie along with our pets Duke and Tuna (she’s new). You may notice a young man that you won’t see in our tour photos, this is our exchange student, Emil. Kye is currently in high school and for the past year we hosted Emil, one year Kye’s senior, on an exchange program from Austria. Throughout the year, Emil became a member of the family. Sadly, our European journey began with a goodbye to Emil, as he was returning to Austria while we were on our tour. We would have loved to have had Emil (and Duke) with us, but as a native European, he was already on his own cultural journey. I will say, we were well prepared…thank you for the plastic bottle cap warnings 🙂
I want to take a moment to thank my wonderful Aunt Lane and Uncle David. Without them, my family would not have experienced this wonderful journey. They surprised us with this Rick Steves’ tour and I cannot express what a gift this was to our family. We witnessed works of art that changed humanity, met the most wonderful people, visited places I never could have imaged and myself, my wife, and my children are forever grateful for the generosity. We love you guys.
